AIRWALL Products
Sustainable, reusable, green and eco-friendly; these are words not often used in the restoration industry for many reasons. It is just easier to buy a cheap disposable product, mostly plastic, that is used once and thrown away. A reusable product has to be cleaned in the proper way and it has to be stored using the correct method. The team using it has to be trained on how to use the product correctly while adhering to the industry standard. This all takes time and in the restoration industry time is literally money.
In just the last few years a new brand of reusable zippers has shown up on the market. They are used to make zip up doorways on containments inside a customer’s home during restoration. The zipper part attaches to a proprietary tape that has adhesive on one side and VelcroⓇ on the other. Once the project is finished the zipper is removed from the tape, cleaned, rolled up and ready to use on the next job. This is a wonderful small step for companies to practice the reuse idea saving both money and the environment.
But let’s look at the other materials used. Plastic sheeting is heavily used in water, mold, bio and fire restoration. The reusable zippers just mentioned are dependent on it. Plastic sheeting, in fact, is used in a lot of general building and restoration projects. The plastic is used to build containments as small as a doorway and in some cases used to wrap the inside of an entire home. When the job is done it's all taken down, bunched up and thrown away: into our landfills or incinerators. But there is a company that makes an alternative item, AIRWALL® by Zeppelin Guys. Inflatable products that fit almost anywhere and can be used again and again, for years.
We at Faithful Restoration see these reusable products as an opportunity to benefit from new innovations while simultaneously teaching our technicians a more sustainable practice. We have recently purchased a few of the AIRWALL® products and will be exploring and evaluating their use in all sorts of ways. We are able to start using this product right away and start bringing down our carbon footprint as a company. This product will also save time, which I said earlier is literally money in the industry. By saving time we get the homeowner or tenant back to their routine and business owners back to business as usual. Getting a business back to work can affect an entire community depending on the size of the business. Many families could be affected by a business that is not functioning as normal. Using products like reusable zippers or entire containment systems is a win-win for everyone. All of the stakeholders, including, our company, the homeowner or tenant and the insurance providers all benefit from faster, cheaper and more sustainable practices. Faithful Restoration will use this product and purchase more of the walls as well as find other innovative ways to implement more efficient, renewable practices and products. Keith Gangitano, the inventor of AIRWALL products, might have said it best…
“Right now, there is no corner of the planet, no ocean, waterway or organism that isn’t confronted with the impacts of human civilization. Plastic is one of the most impactful, and unlike many of the arguments against human impacts on the planet, plastic pollution is not a partisan issue. We cannot live without plastics unfortunately but we need to be smarter about how we use them and how we plan for their life cycle. Plastic waste is so pervasive that it has actually found its way into our livers and our brains. Babies are literally being born with microplastics in their tiny newborn bodies. We have yet to determine just how bad the effects will be but it is unlikely to be beneficial.
This one issue is the engine behind all AIRWALL products. Especially during the darkest days of Covid, when it was uncertain how or if we would emerge from the pandemic with the world looking anything like it did before, we at Zeppelin clung to the vision that we could change the way the restoration and construction industries use plastic. By setting the goal of removing up to 80% of plastic sheeting from current practices we have chosen to take on decades of bad habits, fear of change and multiple industries that would do better if we didn’t exist. But this fight is worth it and we show up in the ring with some real heavyweights.
AIRWALL by Zeppelin https://zeppelinguys.com/ is an entire ecosystem of not just containment solutions, but total environmental control solutions that range in size from something the size of a large pizza to something the size of a small kitchen. Everything is modular or complementary and all of it saves labor and money on materials. Some of our products block sound as well as heat transfer and all of our products dramatically outperform the thing that they are meant to replace.
If your company is looking to be more sustainable and make more money doing it, then AIRWALL is a key part of the solution. Your market may be asking for more sustainability and this could be a way to effectively market your services. Every market is asking for faster resolution to situations with as little disruption as possible. Thermally controlled drying chambers mean faster drying. Faster drying means less secondary damage. Less secondary damage means less construction waste, lower costs and faster recovery times. There is no way that AIRWALL doesn’t improve your operation and because we designed them to last 5 to 10 years, and the ROI begins after the first 5-7 uses, your operation will profit from this upgrade like nothing else in your arsenal.” CEO- Keith Gangitano
Faithful Restoration doesn’t believe that taking the time to learn new and improved methods used on the job or in the industry or to train employees on how to use and understand the improvements is a time and resource drain. In fact, we strongly believe that to better advance our relationship with customers and the public, our leadership should always be teaching, sharing and using new innovations.

Faithful Restoration is excited to now be a member of the West Columbia Gorge Chamber of Commerce. This area encompasses cities such as Troutdale, Wood Village, Fairview, and the Cascade Locks. We have already met so many great people and other companies that we will be teaming up with. Our networking has already moved with leaps and bounds. We also just over the Halloween time were able to volunteer at the Pumpkin Fest at Donald Robertson Park. We had an amazing time, with only a little rain in the morning and beautiful sun for the rest of the afternoon. We will update you with more information about our volunteer time and events with the Chamber's partnership. Faithful Restoration hopes everyone has a safe and joyous rest of the year with family, friends, and fur babies.
